5 Starter Betting Alerts You Can Copy Today

Five ready-made betting alert setups - live underdogs, total drops, key-number spreads and more - with the exact field settings to recreate each one.

A blank criteria form is like a blank page - the hard part isn't the typing, it's deciding what to say. So here are five alerts worth copying, each with the exact settings to recreate it. Steal one as-is, or swap in your own team and numbers. If any field name is unfamiliar, the field-by-field guide covers them all.

1. The live dog

The classic. A favorite falls behind, the live price balloons, and you hear about it while the game's still going. Why people watch for this spot at all is covered in the live underdogs post - this is just the alert version of it.

  • Scope: your team - or all competitors for a league-wide net
  • Market: moneyline · State: in-play
  • Indicator: trigger, greater than +200

2. The favorite falling behind

A favorite that closed heavy doesn't stay heavy when the game goes sideways. This one measures the live price against where the market closed - an in-play shift, the two-value kind (trigger vs. shift explains the difference).

  • Scope: your team - or all competitors
  • Market: moneyline · State: in-play
  • Indicator: shift, from a pre-match line of -300 past a live price of +120

3. The total drop

Totals slide on lineup news, weather, and pace. If you only care once a number falls to your level, set the tripwire and stop checking.

  • Market: total · State: pre-match
  • Indicator: trigger, less than 44
  • American odds filter: -110 - so it only fires at a price you'd actually consider

4. The key number

Football margins land on 3 and 7 constantly, which makes a spread crossing one of those numbers worth knowing about the moment it happens - those prices tend not to linger.

  • Scope: NFL, all competitors
  • Market: spread · State: pre-match
  • Indicator: trigger, greater than +7

5. The mover

No target number - you just want to hear when a market you follow gets active. Another shift, this time the simple pre-match kind: one value, the size of the move.

  • Scope: a league you follow, all competitors
  • Market: total · State: pre-match
  • Indicator: shift, moving 2 points

Make them yours

These numbers are starting points, not recommendations - +200 is a round number, not a magic one. The point of an alert is that it describes a situation you decided was worth knowing about. Start with one, see how often it fires, then tighten or loosen the values until the notifications feel earned. When you're ready to build from scratch, the setup walkthrough takes two minutes.
